So many times, we tend to just go through life, especially after grief and not take the time to work though that grief. After many losses in my own personal life, I take the experiences that I have gone through and worked through to help others. As a Certified Grief Coach and a Soldier of The Salvation Army in Biloxi, Mississippi, my prayer is to help you start to Live Life for Today and to move your grief from Darkness to Light.

Services Offered:

One on one grief coaching by phone, Skype, Zoom, and text

Public speaking engagements

I grew up with my dad in the Air Force and lived in Gulfport, MS; Chicksand AFB just outside of London; Montgomery, AL; Hickham AFB in Honolulu, HI and then back to Montgomery, AL and then back to Gulfport after my parent’s divorce.

I graduated from Gulfport High School in 1984 and married in 1986. In 1989, my wife and I lost a son at 5.5 months due to a miscarriage and then our daughter, Bethany Lauren Fisher was born on August 5, 1990 with Down Syndrome. We moved to Montgomery, AL 1991 when Bethany was 10 months old.

In 1995, my dad passed away the week of Christmas and then in 2002, I lost my wife of 16.5 years. In 2003, I moved back to Gulfport and met my partner and then in 2005, we moved to Dallas, TX after Hurricane Katrina.

In 2016, I lost my daughter on July 4th due to neglect in a Group Home and then on January 8, 2018, Robert took his life and officially passed away on January 17, 2018. After Bethany’s Promotion to Glory, Robert and I attended GriefShare until I eventually started co-facilitating the class.

After Robert’s death, I moved back to Biloxi, MS and started the process of becoming a From Grief to Gratitude Certified Grief Coach to be able to bring others through the process of Living Life for Today: Moving Grief from the Darkness to Light. My prayer is to help you start to Live Life for Today and to move your grief from Darkness to Light.
