As a hospice CEO for more than 30 years, this influential healthcare leader has been a longstanding grief care advocate. Known for her impactful and motivational delivery as an international speaker, Demetress has made a major investment in the lives of others through her compassionate spirit and unselfish attributes.
For more than 35 years this impeccable leader has been cultivating initiatives to empower those faced with grief and end of life care. This Certified Grief Coach had multiple accolades during 2022, from her National Hospice Ambassador award, McKnight’s Women of Distinction and the Lifetime Merit Award from the Chamber of Commerce. These recent honors join a host of recognitions to include the 2017 Athena Award, End of Life Champion and her 2010 Texas & New Mexico Hospice Director’s award yet her humbling persona remains amazing. Demetress still finds countless hours to volunteer her time to assist other children as well as senior adults with bereavement support.
